Una carrera inolvidable.

Lucha entre René Arnoux (Renault Turbo) y Gilles Villeneuve (Ferrari) para la segunda plaza. Al final, ganó Jean-Pierre Jabouille (Renault Turbo) , Villeneuve terminó segundo y Arnoux tercero con el record de vuelta.
